Orange County is preparing to ring in the holiday season with a burst of color, culture, and community spirit at Fiesta on the Lawn: Lighting Up the Season Latin Style, a free public celebration infused with Latin and Hispanic traditions. The event, hosted in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Network of Orange County (HHNOC), will take place on Friday, December 12, from 10 am to 2 pm on the lawn of the Orange County Administration Center in downtown Orlando.

Designed to bring residents together for a festive afternoon, Fiesta on the Lawn will highlight the music, flavors, and seasonal customs found throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. From lively performances to cultural exhibits and holiday treats, the event promises a family-friendly experience that reflects the county’s growing multicultural identity.

“Fiesta on the Lawn reflects Orange County’s commitment to community, culture, and collaboration,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “This celebration showcases the outstanding work of Family Services, Parks & Recreation, Fire Rescue, and our international partners at the consulates.”

The festivities are made possible through support from the Orange County Board of County Commissioners and regional diplomatic partners, including the Consulates of Mexico, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Organizers say the collaboration represents more than just a holiday gathering—it’s an opportunity to strengthen ties across cultures and celebrate the rich diversity that defines Central Florida.

Residents planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP in advance. Whether visitors come for the music, the food, or the chance to celebrate traditions old and new, county leaders say this year’s Fiesta on the Lawn is poised to become a seasonal staple—and one that truly lights up the holidays Latin style.
