Queen Creek is booming, according to a new study from GOBankingRates.
Analysts from the personal finance website looked at the population and income changes in small to mid-sized cities across the country from 2015 to 2023. They found that Queen Creek had the third highest population growth rate, percentage-wise, in the country during that time.
Queen Creek’s growth shows no signs of slowing down. In 2024, it was the third fastest-growing city in Arizona, second only to Phoenix and Surprise.

Why Queen Creek is Arizona’s biggest boomtown
Queen Creek’s population more than doubled from 2015 to 2023, growing by 120%, the study found. The per capita income, which is the average income per person in the area, grew by 66%. In 2023, it was $50,866.
Queen Creek’s population was 83,781 according to 2024 Census data.
The study looked at cities with populations between 25,000 and 500,000. The top boomtown on the list was Fulshear, Texas, which grew by 736%.
