Owner Michael Sambrooks said in a Dec. 22 news release that the new Bellaire location represents a commitment to the expansion of his two brands—Candente and The Pit Room—at the top of the culinary game in the Houston restaurant scene.
According to the news release, the restaurant’s menu is identical to Montrose with customer favorites such as the house nachos, chile con queso, tortilla soup, Frito pie and ceviche, as well as birria tacos, chile gravy enchiladas and carne guisada.
Golden Roastery officials said the roastery opened a second location in the Spring-Klein area on Nov. 15. The roastery has an additional location in the south Houston area.
Golden Roastery offers Arab and Turkish sweets including roasted nuts, halal gummies, chocolates, coffee and Palestinian delights. The Middle East roastery offers both in-store services and a dining area available to enjoy its Palestinian delights.
The eatery serves handmade pizzas, pasta dishes and sandwiches crafted with fresh ingredients, per its website. Other menu items include chicken wings, garlic breadsticks, meatballs, spaghetti and some desserts.
The New York-based pizzeria has one other Texas location in Frisco with several more slated to enter the Houston market including Sugar Land and Stafford, per its website.
Suzie’s Fusion Cuisine officials said the Caribbean restaurant opened in Humble in September. The eatery held a grand opening celebration Nov. 15, per the restaurant’s social media account.
With global ingredients and flavors, Suzie’s Fusion Cuisine offers Caribbean cuisine with menu items including lo mein, curry chicken, jerk chicken and vegan options. The eatery also offers lunch combos, flat breads and salads.
Barbarossa Coffee has added a new shop in Magnolia, its third location, after celebrating a grand opening Nov. 15, owner Ozzy Guragac said.
Guragac said the Magnolia location serves as a new gathering place designed for everything from catching up with friends to studying or hosting meetings, paired with coffee and freshly baked pastries. The Magnolia cafe joins Barbarossa Coffee’s existing locations in Tomball and Spring, according to its website.

Lupita’s Mexican Kitchen expects to open by the end of January 2026, according to management. The location will serve a variety of traditional Mexican cuisine including tacos, enchiladas and tamales, officials said.
