Check out six dining updates in the Greater Houston area, including businesses that recently opened and new spots coming soon, as reported by Community Impact.

Now open

Candente

Owner Michael Sambrooks said in a Dec. 22 news release that the new Bellaire location represents a commitment to the expansion of his two brands—Candente and The Pit Room—at the top of the culinary game in the Houston restaurant scene.

According to the news release, the restaurant’s menu is identical to Montrose with customer favorites such as the house nachos, chile con queso, tortilla soup, Frito pie and ceviche, as well as birria tacos, chile gravy enchiladas and carne guisada.

Golden Roastery

Golden Roastery officials said the roastery opened a second location in the Spring-Klein area on Nov. 15. The roastery has an additional location in the south Houston area.

Golden Roastery offers Arab and Turkish sweets including roasted nuts, halal gummies, chocolates, coffee and Palestinian delights. The Middle East roastery offers both in-store services and a dining area available to enjoy its Palestinian delights.

Suzie’s Fusion Cuisine officials said the Caribbean restaurant opened in Humble in September. The eatery held a grand opening celebration Nov. 15, per the restaurant’s social media account.

With global ingredients and flavors, Suzie’s Fusion Cuisine offers Caribbean cuisine with menu items including lo mein, curry chicken, jerk chicken and vegan options. The eatery also offers lunch combos, flat breads and salads.

Barbarossa Coffee

Barbarossa Coffee has added a new shop in Magnolia, its third location, after celebrating a grand opening Nov. 15, owner Ozzy Guragac said.

Guragac said the Magnolia location serves as a new gathering place designed for everything from catching up with friends to studying or hosting meetings, paired with coffee and freshly baked pastries. The Magnolia cafe joins Barbarossa Coffee’s existing locations in Tomball and Spring, according to its website.
