Firefighters are battling a blaze at a building in North Hills, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on Tuesday.
A thick plume of smoke and flames were seen coming from a structure on the 15000 block of West Parthenia Street. There, dozens of firefighters were seen tending to the fire, trying to put it out.
NewsChopper4 was over the scene, where crews were seen trying to extinguish the blaze from the roof of a neighboring apartment complex. It’s unclear what started the fire.
A 42-year-old woman was hospitalized for possible smoke inhalation, LAFD said. She was described as being in fair condition.
