Despite falling demand for transborder travel in recent months, Air Canada has announced it is launching three new routes to the United States next summer, including its first-ever nonstop flights to San Antonio.
Starting on May 1, 2026, Air Canada will launch three weekly flights between its primary hub of Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and San Antonio (SAT), its first direct connection to the Texan city
Outbound flights are scheduled to leave Toronto at 6:20 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arrive in San Antonio at 9:00 PM local time. Return flights will then depart San Antonio at 10:30 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving back in Toronto at 3:07 PM.
In addition to this brand-new destination, the Canadian flag carrier is adding new routes from Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) to both Cleveland Hopkins (CLE) and Columbus (CMH). These new flights will complement existing services to the Midwestern cities from Toronto.
Daily flights to Cleveland are scheduled to depart Montreal at 4:40 PM and arrive at CLE at 6:14 PM, with return legs leaving Cleveland at 2:40 PM and touching down in Montreal at 4:25 PM. Meanwhile, flights to Columbus will take off from YUL at 4:40 PM each day and arrive at 6:39 PM, with return flights leaving Columbus at 2:40 PM and arriving back in Montreal at 4:22 PM.
All three new services will be seasonal, running from May until October 2026.
