Jackson Walker partners Alfie Meyerson and Brian Harris led the representation of Trammell Crow Co. in the sale of the iconic Sail Tower, located at 601 West 2nd Street in downtown Austin. The transaction, valued at $521.8 million, marks the largest office property acquisition in Austin in 2024.

Completed in 2022, the 35-story, sail-shaped office building is fully leased to Google through 2038. The sale to Cousins Properties, an Atlanta-based real estate investment trust and the largest office landlord in Austin, highlights the continued confidence in Austin’s office market despite rising vacancy rates following the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are especially proud to have represented Trammell Crow Co. in this matter, since we were involved with this project from the earliest days of development and leasing this renowned building to Google,” said Alfie Meyerson.
In addition to Alfie Meyerson and Brian Harris, the Jackson Walker team included Mahira Khan, and Caroline Capili.
