As Steven McBee Jr. and Kacie Adkison butted heads over a new McBee Farm and Cattle Co. beef tallow product line, Steven tried to bring his then-girlfriend Allie Eklund into the fold. But during The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 3, Episode 7, Allie shared why she had no desire to join the family business.

How to Watch

The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.

“Neither of them are communicating,” she pointed out to producers of Kacie and Steven. “That’s really throwing me off. I can’t be a part of a business where the two business owners can’t even communicate. How is anything gonna get done?”

Steven and Kacie’s argument over the tallow line began during McBee Dynasty‘s July 13 episode, as Steven suggested to Kacie that she give McBee farms a 20 percent cut of the products, as well as another 20 percent to Allie for marketing help. But during the July 27 episode, Allie revealed that she never asked Steven for a portion of the business.

“Steven wants me to have ownership in this business,” Allie explained. “Kacie’s probably thinking, ‘This chick came in asking for ownership.’ I was not a part of these conversations.” She added, “Kacie’s probably confused.”

Steven, Allie, Kacie and Kacie’s fiancé, Cole McBee, hashed out the details in a meeting, where Steven continued to offer Allie financial benefits, including commission and vested equity.

“I don’t know, I just don’t see my role in this, I’m gonna be honest,” Allie replied. “This is between you guys. Like, I’ll support you on the backend when I can, but if I’m gonna get involved, it’s gonna look different.”

Allie, who is a content creator, model and entrepreneur, shared that she was not interested in helping with the beef tallow product marketing in any official capacity.

“I have never worked with family the way that they are working. So for me, this is not how I do business,” Allie admitted to producers. “There’s no operating agreements. It seems like they haven’t even narrowed down exactly what everyone’s role is. It’s just unclear what’s going on.”

Another major factor for Allie declining to join the business was the financial payoff. “What if you are paid a commission based on everything you sell right now? That way it’s immediate payment,” Steven asked Allie, to which she responded, “My normal commission’s 20 percent and $10,000 a post, so there’s no way.”

Although Steven attempted to persuade Allie by explaining, “Instead of the post amount, it rolls into vested equity,” Allie stood firm that she did not want to get involved.

Inside Kacie Adkison and Steven McBee Jr.’s drama over the beef tallow business

Kacie shared during the July 27 episode that she and Steven “haven’t really been seeing eye to eye” on the beef tallow product business.

“It’s hard to talk about business with Steven. He has an extremely bad temper,” Kacie confessed to producers.

She later explained their communication issues. “Everything’s just kinda Steven’s way or no one’s way,” she shared. “And I don’t know how to use my voice…He says he’s listening to me and stuff, but I feel like he’s not actually hearing me out on anything I say.”

Steven conceded that working with family made business more difficult. “I can see exactly what needs to happen to make this tallow business take off. But, I can’t push as hard as I would if this was just a normal business conversation,” he explained.

As Kacie, Steven, Cole and Allie met, Kacie noted she felt alone and unappreciated. “No one offers to help, unless there’s a percentage being talked about,” she pointed out.

But Steven argued any help should be compensated. “If we’re expected to help, 100 percent of the profits shouldn’t be funneling to you,” he added. They agreed on 40 percent of profits going to McBee Farm and Cattle Co., 30 percent going to Kacie, and 30 percent going to Steven for his help with operations and business plans.

Kacie shared with producers that the beef tallow business was complicating her relationship with Steven. “We were really good friends at one point, but he’s also my future brother-in-law and he’s also now my business partner who tries to be my boss,” she confessed. “And every conversation we have I just feel like he talks down to me every time.”

Despite Kacie’s belief the meeting ended on a good note, she later shared she got an “angry text” from Steven after the meeting.

“[He] told me that I’m miserable to be around, and he doesn’t want to do business with me anymore,” she revealed to producers. She later added, “We used to be super close, and I don’t know what has happened where we’re in this weird spot. So it just sucks.”

Steven shared that despite the issues playing out on McBee Dynasty Season 3, he and Kacie’s relationship has since improved.

“Kacie, Cole and I are on the same page,” he told Bravo Insider in an exclusive July 2026 interview. “Those two I’m close with. Everything is good. We worked through all our issues.”

He opened up about why he tried so hard to include Allie in the business. “Obviously, hindsight’s 20/20,” he admitted. “At the time, I truly thought I was doing what I thought would be best for the tallow business…bringing Allie into the business with her acumen, her platform, and what she brings to the table from an influencing standpoint.”

He continued, “And then, also I thought that Allie and I were going to get married, so I was like, ‘Hey, bring her into the businesses. Let’s build this thing out together.”

Steven conceded that Kacie was right to be concerned about adding Allie to the business. “She never forgets to let me know that she called this from a mile away,” he admitted to Bravo Insider. “She has good intuition, I’ll give her that.”

ICYMI, Steven also reflected on his breakup with Allie, and what he’s learned from their relationship.
