Location: Las Vegas
Price: $5 million
Peter Lik, a landscape photographer turned home designer, conceived this sleek, angular house in Las Vegas—and decorated it with his own serene art prints.
Just 5 miles south of the famed Las Vegas Strip, the 5,113-square-foot house “is ultramodern, but feels warm, cozy and livable,” said Mary Thomas of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties, who is the listing agent.

An Australian now based in Las Vegas, Lik pivoted to home design in 2019, partnering with local developer Steve Goodwin to launch an outfit called Jewel Homes. The pair offer eight design models with names like “Moonflower” and “Stargazer.” The seller, Las Vegas business executive Michael Mossholder, was already a collector of Lik’s work when he bought this home, an “Allure” model, in 2022.
“I enjoy that the home brings striking modern design and comfortable everyday living together in one cohesive space,” Mossholder said in an email. “Because I already owned several Peter Lik pieces, I especially appreciate the remarkable nature-inspired artwork displayed throughout the home. It adds a meaningful personal connection to the overall design.”
A previous owner “put about $1 million into improving the house, with new walls, floors and finishes,” Thomas said.“What makes the home special is all of the natural materials throughout, and the different textures they bring,” she said. “There’s natural slate downstairs, teak upstairs, walnut cabinets, and a solid granite island in the kitchen. The island had to be craned in, and the house was built around it.”
The home’s main level features a great room that opens to a terrace and the pool. There are two stone walls in the great room, including one with a fireplace. The hardwood kitchen cabinets conceal Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, Thomas said.
The primary bedroom suite, also on the main floor, includes custom wood ceilings, a custom-built backlit floor mirror, a fireplace and a walkout to the terrace. The en-suite bathroom features a soaking tub, double vanities and concealed laundry, along with sliding wooden blinds. The primary suite includes a room-sized walk-in closet.
Oversized pocket doors in the main rooms “allow true, seamless indoor-outdoor living,” Thomas said.
The sale includes furniture, “most of which is RH [Restoration Hardware] or designer,” Thomas said.
Stats
This 5,113-square-foot home on 0.57 acres features five bedrooms and six bathrooms on two levels.
Amenities
The home’s outdoor amenities include a 50-foot pool, a spa and an outdoor gym, along with custom seating, dining areas and a fire pit. “There are several livable areas on the grounds, with a fire pit and seating area, an elevated deck for sunning, and an outdoor dining space,” Thomas said. “There are different coves for entertaining or family gatherings.” A stone “casita,” or pool house, includes a mini kitchen, a fireplace and a walk-in closet.
On the home’s lower level, a four-car garage includes two electric-vehicle chargers, Thomas said.
Talking Points
The home itself is a Lik collector’s item, Thomas said. “There are only about 10 of these built around Las Vegas,” she said. “The big push in Las Vegas is ultramodern boxes for luxury buyers. These homes are ultramodern but so different.”
Neighborhood Notes
The home is in southwest Las Vegas, “very close and convenient to both the Strip and Harry Reid International Airport,” Thomas said. According to Las Vegas Magazine, “The southwest Las Vegas Valley is a rapidly growing area, and for good reason: It’s close to the Las Vegas Strip, great amenities and some of the most scenic outdoor areas in Southern Nevada.” The airport is 5 miles east, and the strip 5 miles north.
