I’ve noticed there are some on the left who see the far-right as the biggest danger in the US, but would rather point the finger at social progressives/the far-left fringe and Democrats “abandoning” the working class than try to stop it. Then there are those who take it further and downplay the far-right and try to convert them or find common ground on certain issues.
There’s pressure for the left/progressives/Democrats to moderate themselves and befriend the other side. Whereas the right/conservatives/Republicans can do whatever and get away with practically anything. The far-right fringe is mainstream now. They have so much power in the federal government. Too many believe the far-left fringe is bigger than it is and swallow a lot of blatant right-wing propaganda.
