Application is for at-large position and will be open for nearly three weeks.

December 2, 2025 (SAN ANTONIO) — CPS Energy is now accepting applications for an at-large position on its Community Input Committee (CIC). Interested individuals can apply until December 19, 2025, by visiting cpsenergy.com/CICApplication.

The CIC is designed to facilitate the flow of ideas and concerns from the greater San Antonio community and provide input to the CPS Energy Board of Trustees and management on strategic objectives, key initiatives, and other CPS Energy business activities. The CIC holds public meetings to encourage community participation and input on utility-related matters. Once appointed, CIC members can serve up to three, two-year terms, for a total of six years.

To qualify for this position, applicants must reside within CPS Energy’s service territory and be a residential customer of CPS Energy.

When the application period closes, the current CIC members will review all submissions and select the at-large candidate, following established protocol. The selected applicant will then be presented to the CPS Energy Board of Trustees for final approval in early 2026.

The CIC plays a valuable role by offering community-focused insight on key initiatives at the request of the Board of Trustees. Members ensure that community perspectives help guide long-term planning and decision-making for the community-owned utility. CIC members also participate in the committee’s three working groups: Power & Technology, Finance & Business, and Customer Relations & Communications.

CPS Energy encourages residents within the service area to apply. The at-large seat offers a meaningful opportunity to be directly involved in shaping the future of the community’s energy system and supporting efforts to strengthen reliability, affordability, and customer experience for the entire service territory.
