LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Clark County Redevelopment Agency has partnered with Grow America to accept applications for its “Inspiring Spring Mountain: Corridor Improvement Grant Program.”
According to a release, $750K in grant funding could be awarded to approved applicants. The initiative is working to help small business owners in the Chinatown Cultural Corridor.
Officials say the mission is to enhance the overall appearance of Chinatown in Las Vegas by funding exterior improvements, safety enhancements, and mobility of its businesses. Some of these projects could involve storefront renovations, safety and circulation improvements, and lighting upgrades, the release said.
“Chinatown is one of the most vibrant and culturally significant areas in Clark County, and this grant programgives our small businesses and property owners the resources they need to invest in their future,” said Commissioner Justin Jones, District F, who represents the corridor. “We’ve listened closely to the needs of business owners, workers, and residents, and this grant is a direct response—improving lighting, safety, signage, and the sense of place that makes our Chinatown unique.”
The program will grant $25,000 per property and will add a $5,000 bonus for each additional acre. Applicants could get a maximum award of $75,000.
