Two Maricopa County residents and one San Diego County, California resident filed the lawsuit on Jan. 22 in civil court.
MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — Three women, two who live in Maricopa County, have filed a lawsuit in civil court, accusing three men of using social media images of them and turning them into sexually explicit AI-generated images to promote their business.
The lawsuit was filed in the Maricopa County Superior Court on Jan. 22.
The lawsuit names the three men and Creatorcore LLC, Model Forge AI, Fal.ai and Phyziro LLC as the defendants. All three men live in the Phoenix area and operate their business in the Valley, the lawsuit states. The lawsuit also names one to 50 John Does, accused of using their images or other women’s images in conjunction with either Creatorcore LLC, Model Forge AI or Fal.ai.
The women allegedly found out in July of last year that the men had AI images of them online to advertise their “AI influencer” business. Some videos, used with AI, hinted at sexual activity and accumulated millions of views on Instagram and TikTok, the lawsuit claims. The lawsuit further states that one Instagram video had more than 16 million views.
Instagram briefly suspended the account, but it was restored within hours, with the AI-generated content still available. One of the three accused men owned this account, the lawsuit states.
The women are claiming negligence, strict liability, defamation, among other claims.
