To celebrate Black Pride in Atlanta this weekend, we’ve rounded up a variety of events full of joy, remembrance, and love.

Black Atlanta Pride started in 1996, and each year it’s just gotten bigger and better. The festivities kicked off Thursday with the 6th Annual Mayor’s Black Pride Reception at City Hall and will run through Monday, Aug. 1.

And all weekend you can do good while having fun, as most events will be donating a portion of the weekend’s proceeds to support homeless LGBTQIA+ youth and people affected by HIV/AIDS through The Vision Community Foundation.

Pride organizers say this year’s events are designed to build safe spaces and provide much-needed support for Atlanta’s most vulnerable LGBTQIA+ populations.

See you in these Atlanta streets!
