We may be in for a bit of a wait here, after a flurry of Braves moves this week to shore up the infield and bullpen. Alex Anthopoulos still has a stated need to add a starting pitcher, will likely add a few more relievers, and could still add a shortstop or another quality bat. While it would be on-brand for this front office to get more offseason business done in November, the league often slows down around Thanksgiving. There may be some business early in the week, but I wouldn’t expect much Wednesday through the weekend. The winter meetings also hold some important information for Atlanta, in the form of the draft lottery and how that will impact their draft bonus pool, as that will impact their forward-facing prospect capital, which may make them more or less willing to make a trade or sign a free agent with a qualifying offer attached.
