Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins sent a message to the Gainesville football team on Thursday via Instagram.
Speaking at the Falcons complex in Flowery Branch, Cousins’ message told the team to “Go get them … do your best, and give them everything you have.”
Big Red is set to play at Brunswick Friday night in the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs.
“Enjoy this moment because it is special,” Cousins said. “I walked off the field in my last high school football game with tears running down my face because it meant so much to me to play high school football, and the privilege that it was. So enjoy it. Wish you all the best.”
