GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two former Florida Gators begin journeys for a World Series title when the first pitch of the 2025 Major League Baseball Postseason is thrown on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Outfielder Harrison Bader and the Philadelphia Phillies won the National League East Division and receive a bye through the Wild Card round. Meanwhile, starting pitcher Brady Singer’s Cincinnati Reds take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in one of two NL Wild Card series. Game one between the Reds and Dodgers is set for 9:08 p.m ET on Tuesday night.

Although he is not on the postseason roster, right-hander Jackson Kowar would be in line for a World Series ring with the Seattle Mariners should they hoist the trophy.

Wild Card series run from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 (if necessary) on ESPN platforms. Both NL Division Series are scheduled to be televised on TBS from Oct. 4 until Oct. 11.

The National League Championship Series takes place from Monday, Oct. 13 to Tuesday, Oct. 21 on TBS. Airing on FOX, the 2025 MLB World Series kicks off on Oct. 24 and a champion will be crowned by Nov. 1.

As a result, Bader set career highs in nearly every category including OPS (.796), OPS+ (117), batting average (.277), on-base percentage (.347), home runs (17), doubles (24), runs (61) and RBI (54). The Bronxville, N.Y. native enters October as Philadelphia’s primary center fielder and leadoff hitter.
