La Liga giants Barcelona have been afforded the opportunity to move forward with a deal for Brazilian starlet Riquelme Felipe.

This comes amid the understanding that the 19-year-old has been offered up to the Blaugrana ahead of the summer.

Riquelme, for his part, is a left-footed attacker who chiefly operates on the right wing.

The Brazilian has long been considered a potential future star in the making in his home country, where he currently plies his trade for Fluminense.

Barcelona sporting director Deco previously made public his admiration for Riquelme, highlighting the teen’s exciting talents in the final third.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion will in turn no doubt be interested to learn of the latest word stemming from the Spanish media.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing ‘Què t’hi jugues’:

‘Riquelme has recently been offered to Barça. His is a name that has been put forward to Barcelona, though there has been no response so far.’

It now remains to be seen if cash-strapped Barca opt to take up this transfer opportunity…
