During Friday night’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins, a fan went viral at LoanDepot Park for the wrong reasons.

The Phillies extended their lead over the Marlins in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a home run from Harrison Bader. The ball traveled 410 feet into the bleachers in left field. In an effort to get his son an early birthday present, a father in Phillies gear ran towards the ball and secured it.

A few moments later, an angry Phillies fan walked up to the father and started yelling about how he stole the ball from her. For the record, she didn’t rightfully secure it.

After hearing the lady complain for a little bit, the father gave up the souvenir. It was a wild scene to say the least.

An angry Phillies fan demands HR ball at LoanDepot Park.

Over the past 12 hours, fans have been demanding for MLB stadiums around the country to ban this angry fan.

“This woman should be banned from all MLB stadiums,” one person wrote.

“Kick out the lady, ban her from the stadium,” a fan commented.

“Please ban her from the stadium or something for a lifetime! Such an attitude should be a symbol of shame for her and others should take lessons from that,” another fan declared.

Phillies make it right.

Thankfully, this ridiculous story has a happy ending. A representative at LoanDepot Park brought the young Phillies fan a bag filled with merchandise.

“We brought you a cool little goodie bag,” she told the young fan in a video that has surfaced on X.

The Phillies also set up a meet-and-greet between Bader and the fan. The veteran outfielder gave him a signed bat after the team’s 9-3 win.

As you’d imagine, Bader and the Phillies are receiving praise for this kind gesture.

“The Phillies are a first-class organization for a reason,” one person said.

“Glad the Phillies made it right. That lady was in the wrong. Sports are about the kids,” a fan commented.

“My new favorite Phillie. This is making right on the fan who took the kid’s ball,” another person said.

The Phillies turned what could’ve been a nightmare moment into a day that young fan will never forget.

Kudos to the Phillies for restoring faith in humanity.
