CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Trailing 2-1 entering the third period, the third-ranked Boston College men’s hockey team scored four goals in the final 20 minutes for a 5-3 comeback victory over No. 15 Dartmouth in non-conference action on Friday evening at Kelley Rink.

BC improves to 10-3-0 overall while Dartmouth drops to 5-1-1.

Facing a one-goal deficit entering the final 20 minutes of regulation, James Hagens (Hauppauge, N.Y.) scored his second goal of the night, finishing off a feed from Gabe Perreault (Hinsdale, Ill.) to tie the game at 2-2.

The Eagles tallied two special teams goals later in the period to take a two-goal lead. Mike Posma (Pomona, N.Y.) scored with two seconds remaining on a BC power play, following up on a rebound from just outside the crease. Minutes later, Teddy Stiga (Sudbury, Mass.) scored a short-handed goal for his third goal of the campaign.

Dartmouth cut into the BC lead with less than two minutes remaining when John Fusco snuck a shot past Jacob Fowler (Melbourne, Fla.) to make it a one-goal game. Andre Gasseau (Garden Grove, Calif.) sealed the game moments later with an empty net goal.

The Big Green opened the scoring late in the first period when Steven Townley found the back of the net.

The Eagles tied things up midway through the middle frame when J. Hagens and Stiga connected on a give-and-go in front of the goal with Hagens smashing home the ensuing pass to put BC on the board.

Fowler made 13 saves between the pipes while Dartmouth goaltender Roan Clarke stopped 32 shots.
