Bo Nix doesn’t fall to Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos were mocked when they used the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.

Who’s laughing now?

In his recent 2024 re-draft for Sports Illustrated, Daniel Flick has Jayden Daniels going off the board first overall with Drake Maye going second and Caleb Williams going third.

Three picks later, the New York Giants select Nix at pick No. 6 — six spots higher than he was picked in 2024, and above two quarterbacks (J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix) who went off the board before him.

“The Giants considered drafting a quarterback in the first round in 2024 but ultimately chose to stick with Daniel Jones, who was ultimately released in November,” Flick wrote for SI. “Perhaps ’25 first-round signal-caller Jaxson Dart will reward New York’s patience, but Nix finished third in rookie of the year voting and has the intangibles to fit the spotlight.”

Penix was later picked at No. 8 (his draft spot last year), and McCarthy went at No. 10 (also his same spot from 2024) in the re-draft. So, at least according to one pundit, the Broncos ended up getting a steal at No. 12 in hindsight.
