JACKSONVILLE, FL — Boost Coffee & Energy is planning a June 3 grand opening for its first location at 7253 103rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32210, CMO Monica McDaniels told Business Debut.
The Jacksonville-based brand is led by founder & CEO Joe Herlihy and Mike Murray, who McDaniels said came up with the original concept.
Kyle Blumenthal, director of operations, has also had a major hand in shaping the brand, bringing his background and extensive experience with high-end specialty coffee in L.A. to help guide the menu and source the clean-ingredient approach, McDaniels told Business Debut.
Business Debut learned of this story first from Jax Daily Record.
What to Expect
Boost Coffee & Energy will be a drive-thru coffee and energy brand focused on fast service, customizable drinks and high-quality ingredients, McDaniels told Business Debut.
“Our biggest thing that’s setting us apart is we are roasting all of our beans in house,” McDaniels told Business Debut. “Each individual location will have its own roastery.”
McDaniels said the team is not aware of another larger drive-thru coffee brand using that model at the local store level. She said the approach is designed to give each location more control over freshness, quality and transparency.
“You can come up when you pull in and ask the person, ‘Where do these beans come from?’ and they will be able to tell you,” McDaniels told Business Debut.
The brand will also offer an order-ahead app, a walk-up window and delivery platform pickup, with a goal of making Boost Coffee & Energy easy to work into a daily routine.
“We want to make it really easy for people to make us a part of their daily habit,” McDaniels told Business Debut.
McDaniels said Boost Coffee & Energy also plans to participate in delivery apps and is designing its pickup process with third-party delivery drivers in mind. The location will have a walk-up window and order-ahead system, so drivers can pick up orders without disrupting the drive-thru flow.
“We are going to make their lives very easy,” McDaniels told Business Debut. “At least that’s our goal.”

Menu and Vision
The menu will include hot coffee, iced coffee, frappuccino-style drinks, energy drinks, refreshers and sodas, with options to customize drinks with cold foam, boba, protein, creatine, kombucha, zinc, vitamin D and other boosts, McDaniels told Business Debut.
McDaniels said Boost Coffee & Energy is designed to give guests options, whether they want a treat, a functional drink or something that fits their personal goals. The brand’s energy drinks will use organic caffeine and B vitamins, with a focus on avoiding corn syrup and unnecessary additives, she told Business Debut.
“We found people care about what’s in the treat,” McDaniels told Business Debut. “They want a treat, but they care about what’s in the treat.”
The brand will also offer snacks and small food items, including pistachios, lemon loaf and other treats.
“If they want to lean in and have a fancy drink with some whipped cream, that’s an option,” McDaniels told Business Debut. “If they want to feel a little better about it, they can put some protein in it.”
Opening Timeline
The grand opening is planned for June 3, with pre-opening events expected to begin May 30 if city inspections go as planned, McDaniels told Business Debut.
The brand plans to host a friends-and-family and local influencer event May 30, followed by a taste test day June 1 featuring free signature drinks. For the June 3 grand opening, Boost Coffee & Energy plans to offer $1 drinks all day, McDaniels told Business Debut.
The company has identified nine additional Jacksonville-area sites and hopes to open 10 Florida locations within the next 12 months, McDaniels told Business Debut. Planned areas include St. Johns, Yulee, Beachwalk and Jacksonville Beach.
Boost Coffee & Energy is also planning three Salt Lake City-area locations, with the first expected in Taylorsville around November, McDaniels told Business Debut.
The brand is also working toward franchise opportunities, with plans to be set up for franchising by the end of 2027, McDaniels told Business Debut.
“We’ve already had a lot of interest, people wanting to get their name on a list,” McDaniels said. “That’s been very validating.”
Hours
Boost Coffee & Energy plans to be open daily from 5 a.m.-10 p.m.
