The majority of flights scheduled to take off from Boston Logan Airport on Monday had already been cancelled as of Sunday night as a huge snowstorm continued to dump snow on Massachusetts, according to FlightAware.com.

As of 8 p.m. Sunday, nearly 60% of flights set to depart from Logan on Monday had been cancelled, according to the flight monitoring website. On Sunday, airlines cancelled 66% of the airport’s departing flights.

Hartford’s Bradley International Airport is experiencing similar cancellations for Monday. By 8 p.m. Sunday, 40% of departing flights had been cancelled, according to FlightAware.com.

Parts of Massachusetts had gotten 10 inches of snow or more by the early evening on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Rapid snowfall of 1 to 3 inches per hour is expected to continue through at least midnight.

Lighter snow is predicted across the state on Monday, according to the weather service. The snowfall is expected to largely taper off in Eastern and Central Massachusetts by 8 p.m. and by 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. in Western Massachusetts.
