The nominations for BRAVE Combat Federation’s 2024 Breakout Fighter of the Year have been revealed. Rasul Magomedov, Gerard Burns, Monika Kučinič, and Noach Blyden are in the running for the award, which will be announced in the coming days.

Bahrain’s undefeated rising star, Rasul Magomedov, delivered two dominant performances in 2024. At BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands, Rasul stopped Brazilian veteran Pablo Benaion in the first round and followed it up with a dominant decision victory over Polish superstar Lukasz Olech in the main event of BRAVE CF 90 in Austria, keeping his perfect professional MMA record intact.

Elsewhere, Irish superstar Gerard Burns made an impact in two weight divisions. Burns secured a first-round knockout at BRAVE CF 81 in the Flyweight division and then claimed a unanimous decision win over Santhiago Paiva at BRAVE CF 89 in the Bantamweight division, capping off an impressive year.

The lone female fighter on the list, Monika Kučinič, also had a stellar 2024 with two wins. At BRAVE CF 81 in Slovenia, Monika submitted Sofiia Bagishvili in the third round via armbar. She followed this with a split-decision victory over Fabiola Pidroni at BRAVE CF 88 in a Fight of the Year contender, solidifying her case for the inaugural BRAVE CF Strawweight title. She makes history as the first ever female nominee for the Breakout Fighter award category.

Rounding out the list is Noach Blyden, who made waves in the MMA world thanks to BRAVE Combat Federation. An accomplished kickboxer, Blyden transitioned seamlessly into MMA and secured two major knockout wins in 2024. He stopped Oskar Herczyk at BRAVE CF 83 in the Netherlands and followed it with another stoppage victory over Adrian Gralak at BRAVE CF 87, earning his place among the nominees.

BRAVE Combat Federation will unveil nominations for Fight of the Year, and Fighter of the Year in the coming days as part of its End-of-Year Awards.
