Energy Transfer, one of North Texas’ largest publicly traded companies, reports third-quarter earnings on Wednesday. Irving-based healthcare giant McKesson also reports earnings.
Thursday, Nov. 6
Southern-style party and hosting guru Rebecca Gardner has just published her first book, A Screaming Blast, which features a foreword by film auteur Sofia Coppola. Gardner will be at Interabang Books at 6 p.m. Tickets, which include a copy of the book, are $45.
Irving-based power producer Vistra Corp. will release earnings results Thursday. The company will be a key player in however Texas decides to keep the heat on heading into the cooler months.
Friday, Nov. 7
Downtown Dallas plays host to Panda Fest, which bills itself as one of the country’s “biggest outdoor Asian Food Festivals.” Organizers expect 300 food vendors, crafts and activities, and a market. The event is $10 for entry and it will be be held at Carpenter Park at 2201 Pacific Ave. Friday through Sunday.
Texas’ rough and tumble frontier economy has reshaped the American conservative political movement, College of Wooster history professor Jeff Roche details in his new book, The Conservative Frontier. He will talk at Interabang Books at 6 p.m. about his research and The Lone Star State’s long shadow.
