INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Historical Society, in collaboration with Magic Thread Cabaret, is hosting “Cabaret Latino, Songs of the Americas” to celebrate the influence of Latino music on American culture. The event will take place on October 10 and 16, 2025, at the Basile Theatre in Indianapolis.
The concert is a bilingual revue that honors singers, songwriters, and musicians from Latin America, showcasing how their music has shaped society. Tickets are priced at $30 for general admission and $25 for seniors, students, and IHS members, available online or at the door.
The 90-minute concert will feature a diverse setlist, including classics like “Cielito Lindo” and “La Bamba” alongside contemporary hits by artists such as Shakira and Bad Bunny. A ten-piece band and dance performances representing Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil will enhance the experience.
In addition to music, the event will feature original dance pieces choreographed by Ilona Yocobleva, Artistic Director of the Indiana Ballet Conservatory. These performances are part of a collaborative effort to integrate different art forms and provide a platform for young artists.
