CALVERT COUNTY, Md. – Calvert County has been ranked sixth nationally in the less than 150,000 population category of the 2026 Digital Counties Survey, recognizing the county’s leadership in using technology to improve government services and enhance the resident experience.
This marks Calvert County’s fourth consecutive year among the nation’s highest-ranked digital counties.
Conducted annually by the Center for Digital Government (CDG) in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo), the Digital Counties Survey recognizes counties that demonstrate excellence in technology leadership, innovation, cybersecurity, digital services, data management and strategic IT planning.
“We’re honored to continue being recognized among the nation’s leading digital counties,” said Technology Services Director Stephen Pereira. “Four consecutive years of national recognition reflects our sustained commitment to strengthening county operations, improving cybersecurity and delivering efficient, accessible services for our residents, businesses and employees.”
The Digital Counties Survey evaluates counties across a broad range of technology initiatives, including strategic planning, digital services, cybersecurity, innovation, data management, government efficiency and resident engagement.
