1. Pets & Their People

🐾 We put out the call for photos of you with your beloved furry friends and you answered!

Our annual “Pets & Their People” feature is one of our favorites since it gives us a great opportunity to showcase our readers.

The submissions always tend to favor the pups more, so we were happy to see more kitties and even a horse this year.

➡️ See the pups here and the cats, chicken, and horse here.

2. A guide to the Dunwoody 4th of July parade

🇺🇸 Rough Draft has partnered with the Dunwoody Homeowners Association to present the 2024 4th of July Parade. The parade, which has the theme “Red, White & YOU,” is the largest in the state.

The 2.7-mile parade route steps off from the intersection of Mount Vernon and Jett Ferry roads at 9 a.m. David Abes of DASH Hospitality is the Grand Marshal.

After the parade, you can stick around for a festival at Dunwoody Village, where there will be plenty of activities to enjoy.

But, before the festivities start, you’ll need to find the perfect viewing spot. We’ve got some tips for you ahead of the parade.

🌭 Learn more about the parade here.

3. ‘Cobra Kai’ mansion on the market in Marietta

🥋 Want to live in the LaRusso mansion from the hit Netflix series “Cobra Kai”? You can for a cool $2,950,000.

While the hit series – a continuation of the “Karate Kid” franchise – is set in Los Angeles, the home that belongs to Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) is actually at 130 Woodlawn Drive in Marietta.

Engel & Völkers Atlanta, which is marketing the home, said in a press release that it “combines modern elegance with the charm of Southern architecture.”
