The Thread Cafecito & Thrift Shop has been open just a couple of months in downtown Phoenix. But it’s already been attracting celebrity attention.
Canadian rapper bbno$ (pronounced “baby no money”) stopped by the Cuban coffee shop when he was in Phoenix ahead of his concert at Arizona Financial Theatre on Feb. 21.
The rapper has over 9.7 million followers on TikTok and about 13.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
He posted a review of his experience there on his food-focused Instagram account @winedine59. His schtick on the account is to rate businesses either “5 or 9 cuz nothings a 10.”
He ordered an iced Americano, the beans for which he was told were roasted four days ago. He described the drink as “just perfect.”
“So bold, rich, kind of creamy, weirdly, I don’t know how that’s possible with no cream,” the rapper said in his Instagram video. “That’s a definite 9.”
The cafe reposted his video to their own Instagram page with the caption, “We appreciate you! Thank you for visiting our cafe! We heard the show was legendary.”
