WENATCHEE — D’Andre Vasquez officially joined the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce this week as the new Hispanic business & community relations coordinator.
The new position was created in a partnership with SkillSource, a local career nonprofit, to enhance economic opportunities within the local Hispanic business community.
Vasquez grew up in Leavenworth and studied marketing and political science at Washington State University, according to a press release. He brings a great deal of leadership experience to the role and plans on working with minority-owned businesses to help learn about their needs and challenges.
“I am pleased that we were able to hire a well-qualified individual to fulfill the Chamber’s responsibility to build a strong connection to the Hispanic business community,” said Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce executive director Steve Wilkinson. “D’Andre’s work and efforts will help ensure the Chamber is focused on building trust and support of minority-owned businesses through advocacy, education, and increased access to resources that foster greater entrepreneurial success and prosperity.”
