SAN MARCOS, Texas — Charles Austin is known around the world as an Olympic gold medalist and the owner of an American high-jump record that still stands.
But in Part II of our conversation with the Texas State graduate, the focus shifts from the track to the business world.
Austin earned his business degree from Texas State, and he has continued putting that education to work long after his competitive career. These days, he is an entrepreneur, mentor and inventor with two patents to his name.
The Olympic champion has turned his attention toward creating products and building ideas designed to make an impact beyond sports. It is another chapter in a life defined by chasing big goals — whether he is clearing a bar, helping young athletes or developing the next innovation.
