HERRIN, Ill. (KFVS) – The city of Herrin is inviting business owners to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a contest.
To commemorate the occasion, they invite business owners to show their patriotic spirit by decorating their business in red, white and blue.
City leaders say they can use bunting, banners, flags, window displays, murals, lighting and more.
Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and patriotic displays.
All participating businesses must have their decorations finished by July 1. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, July 8.
