City of Ontario Combines Costume Contest and Trunk or Treat for a Memorable Halloween Celebration
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Recreation & Community Services Department invites the community to celebrate Halloween at the Costume Parade and Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Ontario City Hall and along Lemon Ave. adjacent to Ontario Town Square. Bringing two popular Halloween activities together, this family-friendly event will offer an evening of costumes, trick-or-treating, entertainment, and festive activities for all ages. Community members are encouraged to dress up and participate in the Costume Parade, featuring awards in four categories: Creepiest, Most Unique, Best Look-a-Like, and Family/Group. Trick-or- treaters can visit decorated vehicle trunks and canopies along the breezeway and Lemon Ave. to collect Halloween treats. The evening will also consist of food vendors, a family-friendly maze, a puppet show, and live entertainment by Xpired, providing plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy the Halloween festivities together.
