Claudia Meneses receives the Nevada Governor’s Hispanic Trailblazer Award.
Claudia Meneses, Founder and CEO of Avanti Green Eco Cleaning, was recognized as a Hispanic Trailblazer by Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo in honor of her entrepreneurial journey, business leadership, and contributions to the Southern Nevada community.
Meneses was recognized during the Nevada Governor’s Hispanic Trailblazer Awards, hosted by the Governor’s Office for New Americans. The event brought together Hispanic leaders and entrepreneurs whose businesses, leadership, and community involvement have contributed to Nevada.
For Meneses, the recognition carries significance beyond her own entrepreneurial journey. She views the award as an opportunity to celebrate the broader contributions Latino entrepreneurs and community leaders are making throughout the state.
“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition, and I am especially grateful to Governor Lombardo and his office for recognizing and showcasing Latino entrepreneurs and leaders who are contributing to communities across Nevada,” said Meneses. “It is an honor to stand alongside other Latino leaders who have each carved their own path in this state—building businesses, creating opportunities, serving their communities, and contributing to Nevada’s growth.”
Meneses’ own entrepreneurial path began in 2011 with a simple desire to help a family member. After her aunt lost her job, Meneses started a small cleaning business to provide her with an opportunity to earn an income. She had no idea at the time that the decision would become the beginning of Avanti Green Eco Cleaning.
What began as a small family operation has since grown into a multimillion-dollar company employing more than 50 people and serving clients across multiple U.S. cities.
An immigrant from El Salvador, Meneses says the evolution of Avanti Green has changed her definition of entrepreneurial success. What began as creating an opportunity for one person eventually became an organization capable of creating jobs and economic opportunities for many individuals and families.
“As an immigrant from El Salvador, this recognition has a very special meaning to me,” Meneses said. “I came to this country looking for opportunity, and one of the greatest privileges of my journey has been being able to create opportunities for others. I am incredibly proud of what we have built at Avanti Green, but I am even more proud of the people and families who have been part of that journey.”
Meneses has also extended Avanti Green’s mission into community involvement. Through the company’s partnership with the Clark County School District, she created the Eco Kids Club, an environmental education initiative designed to introduce young students to recycling, water and electricity conservation, and environmental responsibility.
Today, Avanti Green provides residential, commercial, and institutional cleaning services while maintaining its commitment to environmentally responsible cleaning practices and quality service.
For Meneses, being named a Hispanic Trailblazer is both a personal milestone and an opportunity to recognize the growing impact of Latino entrepreneurs and leaders across Nevada.
“There are so many Latino entrepreneurs and leaders in Nevada who started with an idea, took a risk, and built something that now contributes to this state,” Meneses said. “Being recognized alongside them is what makes this honor especially meaningful. Our individual stories may be different, but together they show what is possible when people are given an opportunity to build, contribute, and create opportunities for others.”
