CNN unveiled a slate of new programming for CNN Headlines, its domestic FAST channel.
The new shows include CNN Headline Express, hosted by Brad Smith, that will include the latest national and international news, sports, entertainment, business and culture. Smith joined the network in July, having previously worked at Yahoo! Finance and Cheddar. ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) will feature stories from CNN’s U.S. programming. And American Pulse will feature reporting from CNN affiliates across the country.
Eric Sherling, executive vice president of U.S. programming for CNN Worldwide, said in a statement, “By tapping into our vast affiliate network and providing timely live news updates, our refreshed offering serves the growing market and complements our existing cable programming.”
CNN is preparing to launch a new streaming news service, a subscription offering that also will include access to CNN.com. The latter started a paywall last year. In 2024, CNN also launched the CNN Originals FAST channel, featuring long form content from its original series library.
CNN Headlines is available on connected television apps, such as Roku, as well as on the CNN app and CNN.com’s homepage.
