Head coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are sizzling on the recruiting trail.
On Sunday, CU added two more verbal commitments to its 2027 recruiting class, as offensive lineman Li’Marcus Jones (Brentwood, Tennessee) and cornerback Prince Washington (Houston) pledged to the Buffs.
CU has eight players committed for the 2027 class, five of those joining the herd in the past week. In addition, CU added a 2026 junior college transfer on Saturday in defensive lineman Malachi Brown.
Jones, rated a four-star recruit by On3 and 247Sports, stars at Brentwood Academy and is considered one of the top 30 offensive tackles in the 2027 class.
A former Ole Miss commit, Jones, listed at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, has 26 scholarship offers, and he included Mississippi State and Purdue in his final three before picking CU.
Washington is a 6-1, 185-pound cornerback from Lamar High School in Houston. He has 10 offers, per 247Sports, including from Houston, Colorado State, Memphis, North Texas and Tulane.
In seven games last year, per MaxPreps, he had 16 tackles, one interception and three passes defended. As a sophomore, he had 31 tackles one interception and seven passes defended in 11 games.
