I’m here at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, and this is the world’s most advanced project that takes fusion. That’s how the sun works. And they’re going to build a plant that makes very clean electricity, even works because you’re taking two different types of hydrogen, the lightest element in the universe, and then you’re fusing them together into a heavier atom called helium. So that reaction produces a ton of heat. We are making that reaction happen here on Earth with magnets. So these magnets, their job is to force that hydrogen to fuse together and then that. Reaction is what creates a ton of energy, which we’ll then use to generate electricity. Making cheap electricity is super important, and once they build this plant, even the first one will make reasonably priced electricity. But then there’ll be a lot of learning as they build hopefully hundreds and thousands of these things, and that price will come down even below the cheapest way. We make like crazy today. So this is a fundamental technology for mankind to power everything we do.
