Congressman Ro Khanna, seen here addressing attendees at a May 29 town hall meeting in Milpitas about what Congress can do to protect federal workers, is hosting another town hall on Sept. 28 at Cupertino High School to address education issues.

Education town hall

U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna is hosting an education town hall in Cupertino on Sept. 28, when he will discuss his latest work in Congress and answer questions from constituents.

The town hall is set for 4-5:30 p.m. at Cupertino High School’s gym, 10100 Finch Ave. It is open to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the event. RSVP to http://bit.ly/46GrseE.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Cupertino Village shopping center will celebrate the harvest season with a Mid-Autumn Festival honoring Chinese culture on Saturday, Oct. 4, 1-3 p.m., on the lawn near 99 Ranch Market.

Guests can enjoy lion dances, martial arts demonstrations and Chinese dance performances. Families can take part in a children’s lantern-making craft, and attendees can sample traditional moon cakes while supplies last.

This event is free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required to attend.

Cupertino Village is located at 10869 N. Wolfe Road. For more information, visit https://cupertinovillage.shopkimco.com.

Land survey

The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority is asking for public input on future trail connections and amenities, as well as regional access between the existing Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and protected properties within the Coyote Valley Conservation Program Area. The survey is open until Sept. 30.

The Authority will use the survey data to develop a plan for potential trail connections between the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and over 1,500 acres of recently protected valley floor lands to the north and east through the Coyote Valley Conservation Areas Master Plan.

The survey can be accessed at http://bit.ly/4nBsH4t. It is available in four languages: English, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.
