HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Entrepreneurs, community leaders and elected officials came together Tuesday to strengthen Latino-owned businesses in Connecticut.

The Hispanic Federation’s CRECER: Connecticut Latino Business Expo took place Tuesday, featuring panel discussions on growth, free resources about access to capital and networking to encourage connection among business leaders.

“CRECER means to grow, so the idea is that here a Latino entrepreneur, small business owner can come here to start a business, to grow their business, to take it to the next level,” Diana Caba, the VP of community and economic development for the Hispanic Federation said. “Here you’re connected to a number of resources, free resources, for businesses. Also, an opportunity to connect with other business owners, entrepreneurs and hear from experts on what are the things you need to start your business, to grow your business to go from just surviving to really thriving.”

The event serves more than 400 entrepreneurs.
