Another weekend full of football and another Monday where the Top-25 changes in NCAA Division III.
In a week that saw a top-five matchup, huge wins, and some upsets along the way, the rankings are all over the place heading into Week 4. Based on the D3football.com rankings, the top spots look the same for the most part and ranks one through three stay the same for a fourth consecutive week. North Central (Ill.) hangs on to the top spot after a massive 62-0 win over Carthage College on Sept.20.
Mount Union remains in the second spot after not playing in Week 3. The Purple Raiders will be back in action on Sept. 27. Johns Hopkins remains in the third spot after being the victor in the top-five matchup on Sept. 20 against Susquehanna.
St. Johns moves up to four in the rankings after 59-0 shutout victory over Hamline. Rounding out the top five is UW-La Crosse, previously ranked 9. The Eagles jumped into the top five after taking a victory over D2 Wayne State 31-22 on Sept. 20.
The biggest shocks in the rankings come as Susquehanna drops from four to 13 after the loss to Johns Hopkins. UW-WhiteWater also jumps from 16 to 10 after a 26-9 upset victory over Mary-Hardin Baylor.
Central College also finds itself in the Top-25 this week, coming in at 23 after being non-ranked previously. The Dutch are 3-0 on the season 1-0 in ARC play after a victory over Luther, 63-26.
