PHOENIX — A developer broke ground on a six-acre industrial development in Tempe on Tuesday.

The development will house two buildings on more than 120,000 square feet located near 3rd Street and Priest Drive.

Pacific Office Automation is pre-leasing one 75,000-square-foot building as its Southwest market headquarters. Another 45,000-square-foot building remains available for lease or purchase.

Among the development’s amenities include 32-foot clear heights, a shared truck court and 185 parking spaces, including eight EV charging stations and 14 bike parking spaces.

Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026, as LGE Design Build will oversee the general contracting and architecture of the project.

Creation, the real estate development firm, held a groundbreaking ceremony that saw project partners, city leaders and community stakeholders attend.

“This is our third industrial groundbreaking in Tempe this year — a testament to the market’s momentum and long-term potential,” Grant Kingdon, principal of Creation’s Mountain West Region, said in a press release.

“Tempe offers unmatched access to freeways, airports, amenities and skilled labor. For users seeking modern facilities, opportunities like this are almost nonexistent. We are excited to deliver desperately needed, functional, infill inventory to the North Tempe industrial submarket, as 90% of Tempe’s industrial buildings between 40,000 and 60,000 square feet were developed before 2000.”

Creation and Pacific Office Automation came together to donate $25,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, to commemorate the start of construction.

“Breaking ground in Tempe marks an exciting milestone for Pacific Office Automation as we continue to invest in our people, our customers and the communities we serve,” Adam Pritchett, CEO of Pacific Office Automation, said in a release.

“This new regional headquarters represents our long-term commitment to growth in the Southwest — one of our fastest-growing and most dynamic regions — and reflects our vision to create spaces that foster innovation, collaboration and customer success.”
