Sammy’s is the new sandwich shop and cafe in Adair Park by chef Sam Pinner and (Paul Rudd lookalike) Jason Furst. The duo has nailed the sandwich, mostly because they know where to find the best bread — premier Atlanta bakeries like Alon’s, El Progresso, and Pan American.
The shop’s logo of a sleepy, chill sandwich with a chirpy coffee pot just about sums it up. Sammy’s is a casual place to hang back, with a pork smoker out front, plenty of natural light inside, and a fishbowl kitchen to watch cooks assemble your sandwiches, with canned tomatoes and pickle jars lining the wall. No reservations, no frills, and simple but well-executed food — this is where to bring friends for coffee dates.
Sammy’s has extended hours on Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. with cocktails and wine. Get the martini or a glass of Lambrusco and pair it with a smash burger, which is only available during this time.
