A small seaplane carrying eight people crashed into the East River on Sunday, according to officials with the NYPD and FDNY.
At least two of the people on board the aircraft were being treated for minor injuries, police said. Officials lowered their initial passenger count from 10 to eight.
The hard landing was reported around 12 p.m., near East 23rd Street.
Video taken from witnesses shows the plane upright, bobbing in the river as rescue boats respond to those in the plane.
It was not immediately clear where the plane took off from.
