Formula 1 returns to South Florida for the first of three races in the United States this season, with the Miami Grand Prix taking place this weekend from May 2-4.

As the series hits the Magic City for the sixth round of the 2025 season and the second sprint of the year, three teams have opted to run special car liveries for the event.

Miami is no stranger to one-off liveries, as last year’s grand prix had two teams sporting unique looks. Ferrari showed off a livery with some light blue accents to celebrate its new partnership with tech giant HP. The drivers also wore all-blue overalls, with Charles Leclerc rocking it on the podium after finishing third for the Italian team.

Racing Bulls turned heads too with a livery that mixed the city’s vibrant palette with the hues of the Cash App Visa Chameleon Card – the team’s title sponsor. The fresh look brought some good luck to Yuki Tsunoda who finished seventh and scored points for Red Bull’s sister team.

Now, a year later, both Ferrari and Racing Bulls are back with fresh liveries for the fourth edition of the Miami Grand Prix, joined by the Kick Sauber team this time around.

Sauber’s Miami Grand Prix Livery

The Swiss-based outfit was the first to unveil its new look for the weekend. This special design was inspired by Miami’s vibrant art scene, featuring the C45 in a striking neon green paint.

Drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will sport unique race suits that reflect the Miami-inspired theme, and the design is also set to feature throughout the team’s garage and on pit stop equipment.

Stefano Battiston, chief commercial officer, said: “This livery is more than just a new look – it’s a celebration of Miami’s creative spirit and our commitment to energising the sport for our fans.

“Our objective when developing this livery with Stake was to stand out, not only for our dedication on the track, but also for our boldness and creativity off track.

“Our team is dedicated to creating memorable moments and engaging experiences, and this Miami special is a perfect example of that.”

Ferrari’s Miami Grand Prix Livery

The Scuderia is celebrating a year of having HP as its title sponsor, and they are shaking things up a bit with the car’s classic all-red look this weekend. The SF-25 will be having a “bold new asymmetric livery,” featuring some blue and white colors on the engine cover, rear wing, and wheel covers.

The engineering team from Ferrari and HP teamed up to bring this design to life, using some innovative techniques for the film that wraps around parts of the car.

The Italian team says that the new wrap is up to 14% lighter and 17% thinner compared to last year, and it has better thermal resistance. On top of that, the film is PVC-free, fully recyclable, and applied using HP’s latest latex tech.

Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari CEO, commented: “It all started one year ago at the Miami Grand Prix and since then, we’ve seen how deeply aligned our two companies are when it comes to the importance of people to boosting innovation, striving for excellence, and pushing boundaries.

“This Grand Prix will mark the return to the place where the collaboration between our two companies began, with a celebration of this journey featuring a bold new asymmetric livery. It is an expression of our shared belief in the power of design, technology, and performance to drive meaningful change.”

Both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will also be sporting special blue and white race suits during the Miami weekend. They are hoping to turn things around after a rough start to the season, sitting fourth in the constructors’ standings with 78 points – a distant 110 points behind the leaders, McLaren.

Racing Bulls’ Miami Grand Prix Livery

Unlike Sauber and Ferrari, Racing Bulls has taken a bold step away from its traditional colors, embracing a striking magenta color scheme for the weekend.

The fresh look, which will be sported by drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson in the VCARB 02s, draws inspiration from Red Bull’s Summer Edition White Peach-flavored can – soon to hit shelves in the United States.

A creative touch has also been added to the one-off livery, with the car’s wheels resembling the top of a Red Bull can.

The reveal went down at the Joia Beach Club on Jungle Island on Wednesday evening, with CEO Peter Bayer, team principal Laurent Mekies, Lawson, and Hadjar all in attendance alongside a mix of athletes, journalists, and fans.

“Miami holds a special place for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, it’s where we debuted our very first special livery as a team last year, which was a moment that set the tone for who we are: bold, creative and willing to push the boundaries,” said Bayer.

“Since that debut, we’ve continued to make waves with striking liveries in Singapore and Las Vegas, each one crafted in collaboration with our partners and met with real excitement from fans.

“The Red Bull Summer Edition livery is a celebration of everything Miami represents, and we are honoured to give wiiings to this new seasonal flavour.”

The design marks a milestone for Red Bull, being the first-ever can-inspired livery to celebrate a brand-new flavor launch in the United States.

Olly Hughes, CMO of Red Bull Technology, said: “This is a first for Red Bull as the first ever can-inspired livery to launch a brand-new flavour in the US. The Red Bull Summer Edition White Peach flavour is made for summer, so where better to bring this to life than Miami.

“Since last year’s Miami launch, VCARB has earnt an award-winning reputation for bold and distinctive designs that stand out on the grid and there’s no doubt this is another one to add to the list.”

Lawson and Hadjar will be sporting custom magenta race suits and the outfit will also have a vibrant magenta team kit and a fresh look for their garage.

Mercedes’ Miami Grand Prix Livery

Although it’s not the primary team, Mercedes will run a special livery on its F1 Academy car driven by Doriane Pin, featuring some pink accents.

The Brackley outfit has also revealed unique race suits for George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli inspired by Miami’s iconic mangroves, featuring black leaves contrasted against an off-white, burgundy, and coral base.

Now it remains to be seen whether the team will run a special livery on the W16 for the Miami Grand Prix weekend.
