Fans can join in on the excitement of soccer’s premiere event even if they’re not going to any of the matches.
HOUSTON — It’s a big announcement from the Houston World Cup Committee – the 2026 FIFA Fan Fest will take place in the streets and parking lots of EaDo, or the East Downtown district.
According to organizers, EaDo was chosen for its vibrant, walkable atmosphere along with its rich history, and eclectic, multicultural character.
It’s known for its mix of residential space, local businesses and cultural diversity, which is ideal for celebrating soccer and some of the sport’s biggest games coming to Houston.
A big component of the event will be Football Fiesta Houston, which will honor east Houston’s Hispanic culture. The celebration will go beyond the festival grounds and into the broader EaDo neighborhoods.
It’ll be a soccer fan’s dream, with all FIFA World Cup 2026 matches shown on a massive monitor, according to an artist rendering.
The FIFA World Cup runs from June 11, 2026 to Sunday, July 19, 2026. As part of the Central Region, Houston will host five group stage games on June 14, June 17, June 20, June 23 and June 26.
