With opening dates for these markets just around the corner, we’re sharing what you need to know before you grab your totes and get to shopping.

Copley Square Farmers Market, 227-230 Dartmouth St. | Tuesdays + Fridays | 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Features: Boston’s biggest farmers market hosts more than 36 local food producers and pops up right across the street from Copley Square at the McKim Plaza outside the Central Branch of the Boston Public Library.
  • Getting there: Near the Green Line Copley stop and the Orange Line Back Bay Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: May 17-Nov. 26

Boston Public Market’s Farmers Market, The Rose Kennedy Greenway, Milk and India streets | Thursdays | 2-6 p.m.

  • Features: To celebrate the new location, on June 13 the Market will be hosting a big kick-off party with live music, giveaways, and more.
  • Getting there: Near the Red Line South Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: June 13-Oct. 24

South Boston Farmers Market, 446 West Broadway | Mondays | 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Features: The South Boston market has been in operation since 2002 and the vendors are all based in Massachusetts.
  • Getting there: Near the Red Line Broadway Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: June-October

Egleston Farmers Market, 179 Amory St., Jamaica Plain | Saturdays | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

  • Features: This local market is helping make fresh, local food accessible to Jamaica Plain and Roxbury with the help of community partners like Community Servings and Bikes not Bombs.
  • Getting there: Near the Orange Line Stony Brook Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: May-October

Davis Square Farmers Market, 44 Day St., Somerville | Wednesdays | 12-6 p.m.

  • Features: Shop over 24 vendors at this long-running market in the parking lot across from the Davis Square Plaza.
  • Getting there: Near the Red Line Davis Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: May 22-Nov. 27

Charlestown Farmers Market, Thompson Square | Wednesdays | 2-6 p.m.

  • Features: Shop the local vendors along Main Street next to the Hubway Bike stand, with a “Senior Shopper” hour held from 2 to 3 p.m.
  • Getting there: Near the Community College Orange Line Station

Central Square Farmers Market, 76 Bishop Allen Dr., Cambridge | Mondays | 12-6 p.m.

  • Features: Visit this picturesque market that stretches along the Norfolk Street block, near H-Mart and Graffiti Alley, where your phone may get more action than your stomach.
  • Getting there: Near the Red Line Central Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: May 20-Nov. 25

Brighton Farmers Market, 30 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton | Wednesdays | 3-7 p.m.

  • Features: The market offers a diverse variety of local vendors and Concerts in the Common are hosted twice a month.
  • Getting there: Near the Green Line Warren Street Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: June 12-Oct. 30

Brookline Farmers Market, Centre Street West Parking Lot | Thursdays | 1:30-6:30 p.m.

  • Features: The 43-year-old market offers a diverse variety of local vendors and offers a coupon program for income-eligible families through the The Health Department of Brookline.
  • Getting there: Near the Green Line Coolidge Corner Station
  • Space: Outdoors
  • Open: June 6-November

East Boston Farmers Market Saratoga and Border streets | Wednesdays | 3-6:30 p.m.

  • Features: This local market has online ordering and delivery options available.
  • Getting there: Near the Blue Line Maverick Station
  • Space: Outdoors

Union Square Farmers Market, 66-70 Union Sq., Somerville | Saturdays | 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Features: This local market is easily accessible from the new Green Line extension.
