MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Five Blue Raiders are set to compete in the NCAA East First Round in Jacksonville, Florida.
After strong performances throughout the outdoor season, John Sherman, Carmelo Cannizzaro, Allan Kiplagat, Mackdonald Songok, and Privillege Chikara will represent Middle Tennessee in four events at the NCAA East Regional.
The competition begins Wednesday at 9 a.m., but the first event featuring a Blue Raider will be at 6 p.m., with Sherman competing in the 100-meter dash. He will return to the track for the 200-meter dash at 7:45 p.m.
The only other Blue Raider competing on Wednesday is Songok, who will run the 800 meters at 6:50 p.m.
Cannizzaro, Kiplagat, and Chikara are scheduled to compete in the 800—meter and 3,000—meter steeplechases on Thursday and Saturday.
