Former BYU football players shine at Big 12 Pro Day in Frisco

The Big 12 Pro Day took place from March 18-21 at the Dallas Cowboys’ Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, drawing nearly 300 NFL scouts.

Among the athletes on display were 14 former BYU Cougars, who participated in the event hoping to boost their chances ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Offensive Participants included Caleb Etienne, Brayden Keim, and Connor Pay (offensive linemen) Gerry Bohanon (quarterback) Darius Lassiter (wide receiver) Keanu Hill, Mason Fakahua, and Ray Paulo (tight end).

Defensive Participants consisted of Jakob Robinson and Marque Collins (defensive back) Tyler Batty, Isaiah Bagnah, Blake Mangelson, and John Nelson (defensive lineman).

Several Cougars saw their stock rise after impressive performances in front of the 300 scouts.

Caleb Etienne Impresses with Speed and Strength
Offensive tackle Caleb Etienne, standing 6-foot-7 and weighing 329 pounds, turned heads with his remarkable 40-yard dash time of 4.96 to 4.97 seconds. His combination of size and athleticism wowed scouts, and his versatility as both a tackle and guard was on full display during position drills.

Jakob Robinson Shines in Coverage Drills
Defensive back Jakob Robinson showcased his quickness and agility, impressing NFL scouts with his ability to cover both short and deep routes. His strong performance throughout the day has placed him among the top cornerbacks to watch ahead of the NFL Draft.

Darius Lassiter and Ray Paulo Stand Out
Wide receiver Darius Lassiter demonstrated his reliable hands and route-running skills, while tight end Ray Paulo caught the attention of scouts with his ability to stretch the field and make tough catches. Both players helped solidify their potential in the NFL with solid showings in drills which could help them on Draft day.

Tyler Batty and Isaiah Bagnah Make Strong Draft Cases
Defensive linemen Tyler Batty and Isaiah Bagnah stood out with their explosive abilities. Batty, known for his edge rushing, and Bagnah, praised for his versatility, impressed scouts with their strength, speed and agility during the drills, enhancing their draft prospects. All that is established through the program BYU is building for its athletes.

Nearly 300 Scouts Attend Big 12 Pro Day
With live coverage on NFL Network, fans and analysts were able to watch the performances of these future NFL prospects. People around the world could tune into the event, which drew nearly 300 scouts, provided a glimpse into the skills along with potential of the 2025 draft class and reinforced BYU’s reputation for developing NFL-ready talent.

The 2025 NFL Draft will be broadcast live on NFL Network and ESPN on April 24-26. Y Stream it on the NFL app or the ESPN app, as well as streaming platforms like FuboTV and Hulu+.
