Oregon lands another 2026 receiverKey dates

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick never developed into a starter during his time with Ohio State football, but that likely won’t be the case at Kansas State.

Fitzpatrick, who transferred from OSU to KSU in January, earned heavy praise from Wildcats coach Chris Klieman during Big 12 Football Media Days on Tuesday.

“We needed some older guys as these younger guys grew, and George Fitzpatrick is one that was here in the spring that elevated himself to the top of the depth chart at left tackle,” Klieman said when discussing his offensive line.

Kansas State is expected to contend for a College Football Playoff spot this season as a co-favorite (+550) with Arizona State to win the Big 12, according to odds from DraftKings.

Fitzpatrick signed with Ohio State as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

In his three seasons with the Buckeyes, Fitzpatrick played 99 offensive snaps.

His place on the depth chart was apparent last season when, after injuries to tackles Josh Simmons and Zen Michalski, Fitzpatrick still struggled to earn playing time.

Oregon lands another 2026 receiver

Jalen Lott, a four-star receiver in the 2026 recruiting class, committed to Oregon on Tuesday.

He’s the second player at the position to choose the Ducks in his class, joining fellow four-star Messiah Hampton.

Lott is from Frisco, Texas, and earned offers from Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan, among others.
