HERRIMAN — The fast-growing açai bowl, juice and smoothie chain Juice It Up! this week announced plans to open its first location in the Beehive State, backed by a franchisee with a name that’s likely familiar to most Utahns.

Former Utah Sen. Aaron Osmond, son of Alan Osmond of the Osmond Family musical group, and his wife, Nancy Osmond, plan to launch the first Juice It Up! location at Copper View Plaza in Herriman, with additional locations expected throughout the state, according to a release from the company.

“What drew us to Juice It Up! was the rare combination of a proven, established brand and a menu that genuinely aligns with how we try to live our lives,” Aaron Osmond said in a statement. “As we evaluated different franchise opportunities, we wanted a business with proven fundamentals, operational simplicity and, most importantly, a meaningful connection to the daily lives of Utah families. Juice It Up! stood out because it brings together convenience, flavor and better-for-you options in a way we believe fits perfectly with the active, family-centered communities we serve.”

Utah will become the latest state to join the company’s growing system that currently includes locations across Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oregon, Oklahoma and Texas, with over 30 locations currently in development.

“As a nurse, I have always cared deeply about helping people make simple, positive choices that support their health and energy,” Nancy Osmond said in a statement. “We are excited to bring Juice It Up! to Utah because it gives families, students, athletes and busy professionals access to smoothies, bowls and juices that are both convenient and enjoyable. For us, this is more than opening restaurants; it is about bringing a brand we believe in to communities we love.”

Juice It Up! was founded in California in 1995 and opened its first location in Brea, California, that same year. The company currently operates over 120 locations across the western U.S. and Texas.

“We see tremendous opportunity in Utah, so entering the Beehive State is an exciting growth milestone for Juice It Up! as we continue to expand,” Silvio Morales, director of franchise development at Juice It Up!, said in a statement. “The Osmonds are exactly the kind of franchise partners we look for as we enter new markets. Bringing proven business expertise, longstanding local leadership, and an authentic passion for wellness, they truly understand operational discipline and community connection. They are perfectly positioned to successfully introduce Juice It Up! across the state.”
